
The Institute for Human Services (IHS) located in Columbus, Ohio is a private nonprofit corporation, founded in 1977, specializing in organizational development, program evaluation, and in-service training for public and private not-for-profit social and human service agencies. IHS works throughout North America to help states and provinces set up competency-based in-service training systems for staff working in child welfare and public human services. IHS has worked in local public school districts to establish culture and diversity initiatives that include steering committees, student mentors/leaders, conflict resolution, and outreach to students from a variety of cultural and ethnic groups. IHS also provides direct training using well-tested and standardized curricula, in coaching and mentoring, transfer of learning, leadership development, training of trainers, conflict management, and culture and diversity. IHS has extensive experience in development, writing, and publication of in-service training curricula, training manuals, and university level resource textbooks.

Freshman Focus program in your school. Trainers will assist you in implementing the change process that must take place to successfully implement a freshman transition program that includes a freshman orientation camp, complete course curriculum, staff training, and student mentor training.
